[Wrap-Up] October 2013

Book Junkie Joint is already a year old!

Would you believe it? I've been doing this book blogger/book reviewer for a year now! I feel... old! haha! I've certainly come a long way from when I just started blogging about books. I've met more people and connected with a lot of authors! I feel insanely awesome!

Anyways, what have I been up to in the month of October?

First, there's the Guardians of Tradition Blog Tour, which was something of an experience in itself. It was the first time I've ever arranged a blog tour for a children's book, and it was also the first blog tour I've arranged for a paperback book instead of an ebook. A shout-out to Miss Maricris Tobias and the people from Adarna! You guys are awesome!

I've also been participating in the Filipino Fridays arranged by the Filipino Readercon as a teaser for the actual convention on November 9, 2013 at the Rizal Library - Ateneo De Manila University. My most favorite Filipino Friday Post was the Pinoy Book Drop! I gave away two books on two random locations for other people to pick-up.

I dropped Through Violet Eyes by Stephen Woodworth and My True Friends by Ramon Bautista.

Through Violet Eyes was dropped at SM City Iloilo
Food Court last October 24, 2013
My True Friends was dropped at the 2nd floor
comfort room of SM City Iloilo, by the Toy Department.
Since October is Book Junkie Joint's First Blogoversary month, I celebrated it by giving away a copy of She Caught Me for free for a limited time! And I also held a giveaway with Volumes 1 to 3 of My Midnight: The Graphic Novel as the prize. Congratulations to Roxanne for winning the giveaway!

For Book Junkie Joint's First Blogoversary, my wish is that Book Junkie Joint be blessed with more years to come of spreading the love of written words, and more books to read! A huge thank you to the people who've made Book Junkie Joint's first year very productive and worthwhile! =)

And now, to complete this wrap-up for the month of October 2013, here are the books I've read and reviewed:

  1. How's Freak of Nature? I see it in NetGalley but I'm not sure if it's something I'd like to read...or enjoy.

By the way, happy one year anniversary! :)

    1. To be honest, there wasn't much going on for it. Common plot, shallow twists. I feel that the conflicts weren't really substantial. haha Or maybe I'm just a masochist.
