[Podcast] #5x5podcast with Tania Arpa and Mina Esguerra

So, I've been pretty silent for a few days now. Forgive me. I've been terribly busy with the aftermath of my exams. On the upside, I got featured on the 9th episode of the #5x5podcast by Tania Arpa and Mina V. Esguerra last February 20, 2014! (Check video above to listen to how everything turned out!)

Personally, it was both nerve-racking and frustrating. Nerve-racking because it was my first time to have a podcast with other people (awesome people!). The first podcast I made was all by myself, so this one was entirely different. And it was also frustrating because the connection didn't cooperate and I kept being cut off. haha All in all though, it was fun!

I loved the geeky things that Tania and Mina talked about, plus, I got to share about blog tours for Filipino authors and my own experiences as a book blogger.

There were some things that I haven't really explained so I'm taking this opportunity to post a few clarifications here:
  1. Yes, I read 151 books in 2013. You can check my 2013 Goodreads Reading Challenge if you wish to verify all the books I've read last year.
  2. I read a lot, but that doesn't mean I'm anti-social, I'm a nun in the making, or I'm some sort of psycho (this one is debatable.. haha!). I have a small circle of close friends and we see each other occasionally. I also go out with my classmates in law school whenever we have time.
  3. Yes, I do have a library at home with two big-ass book cases. It doubles as my reading nook and study room. (And sports my little brother's anime masterpieces!)
  4. Yes, really! I do have Hermione's Time-Turner and Dr. Who's time-travelling blue police box (a.k.a. TARDIS) so I frequently travel in time and space (hence, I accomplish so many things without a sweat). Of course, I'm kidding! My principle is this: If you are passionate about something, you make time for it no matter how hectic things become. I'm passionate about reading, writing and books so even if I'm a law student and a student leader, I make time for what makes me happy.
Thank you so much for tuning in! And if you haven't listened to it yet, do check out the vid above. (I sound like a big book dork, so yeah. hihi)

[Personal Update] I AM ALIVE~!!

Belated Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone~!

I hope you enjoyed your Valentine's Day, even if I couldn't say the same for me.

I spent most of my Feb.14 curled up under the sheets with fever, cough and flu before attending classes in Taxation II. It must've been the stress of my midterm exam week that got me sick. But I'm okay~! I finished reading Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. It was awesome. Then I watched the movie afterwards and complained (loudly) about how different it was to my younger brother. Also, as a reward for getting through my exam week, I bought myself the first volume of Trese (graphic novel). I have the second volume already. hihi (Love life? What love life?)

I'm craving for more Sci-Fi in my reading list. I'm planning to read all of the books in the Ender series by Orson Scott Card and then maybe get started on that Dr. Who marathon I've been planning, and catch up on Criminal Minds. So many things to do, so little time...

That's it! Regular book review posts *may* resume next week.

[Personal Update] My date on Valentine's Day

... is Midterms.

This is my hell week schedule.
I'm not taking all of them!
Just those in the III.
In short, I will be extremely preoccupied next week so if I can't return your emails, tweets, messages, etc., that means I'm probably dead or dying, or I devolved into an overly-caffeinated zombie.

Oh, and I apologize in advance for this blog's inactivity next week.
