[Book Review] I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki

I  Want to Die but I Want
to Eat Tteokbokki

by Baek Sehee
Translated by Anton Hur

Non-fiction; Psychology; Memoir

There were some poignant lines, and profound realizations by the author. The honesty about judgmental views was refreshing.

In must confess that I had no whatsoever expectations when I opened this book, & only ever started reading it out of curiosity.

[Book Review] Love Interest #9

Love Interest #9

by Mia Summers

Contemporary Fiction; Romance; Chick-Lit

Disclaimer: I got a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I usually love slow-burns, but this one, not so much. Don't get me wrong, the main character and the love interest are likable, but the storyline had much to be desired.

I actually found the relationship build-up between Rachel and Lucas enjoyable, because I love patiently waiting for when things start to heat up, but ultimately, the storyline went downhill at the end.

I received an audiobook copy of this poetry book in exchange for an honest review.

This book packs a punch, and I mean that figuratively. Don't let the seemingly harmless cover fool you. This book is for the daughters, the mothers, and the sisters who face different challenges everyday on account of being born a woman.

It's beguiling, relatable, and touching, yet also empowering and inciting.
